The Godin 5th Avenue takes the player back to the time when archtop acoustics were the measure of all things.
With the soul of a 1950s archtop guitar, the 5th Avenue offers the spirit of that time, but with the playability and technology of today. With much better projection and higher volume than conventional archtop acoustics, the dynamic sound makes this instrument a dream to play without causing nightmares in your wallet. With the 5th Avenue you can make your dream of owning a North American archtop guitar come true. This instrument cuts a fine figure everywhere - whether alternative country, delta blues, slide, jazz or rock - acoustically and electrically!
The Godin Kingpin P90 single coil pickup delivers exactly the classic tone with presence, clarity and that certain something that you would expect from this guitar.
The 5th Avenue body is made from Canadian wild cherry and has a curved top and back, an adjustable bridge, classic F-holes, a high-gloss headstock and cream-colored binding. The custom polished finish with its great velvety shine is reminiscent of the French polish from the 19th century.

This is a so-called "Second Factory" (SF) instrument from the manufacturer. SFs are new, unplayed instruments that are not sold as A-grade goods due to purely cosmetic defects. These visual defects can be, for example: dust inclusions in the varnish, polishing marks, small, matt varnish spots, binding that is a few millimeters too short. Otherwise, these instruments are, as mentioned, new and unplayed and come with a full guarantee!
