At first glance – reverse headstock, fixed bridge and a legendary PAF humbucker – you might think that the Godin Session R-HT PRO is only suitable for full-throttle rock or metal! But at Godin, they are passionate about designing versatile guitars with the widest possible tonal range.
To achieve this, the Session R-HT PRO uses the Seymour Duncan ’59 SH-1b pickup for the bridge and two Lace Sensor Hot Gold pickups for the middle and neck positions. The combination of these three excellent “Made-in-USA” pickups in conjunction with a 5-way switch and controls for volume and tone gives this guitar a huge tonal range. Want powerful, warm distortion? Need a bright, open sound for arpeggio playing? The Godin Session R-HT PRO delivers both - and much more! In fact, this model is suitable for almost all musical situations and styles, whether in the studio or on stage.
Made entirely in Canada, the Godin Session R-HT PRO features a basswood body and hard maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The "acoustically tuned" matte finish and the use of a fixed bridge with through holes allow the strings to vibrate more freely and improve both the sustain and the natural resonance of the guitar. To round things off visually, the headstock features the vintage Godin logo.
