40 years of the Seagull S6 - if that's not a reason to celebrate! This guitar is now played by musicians of all genres and levels, from beginners to professionals, all over the world! And what better way to show appreciation than with a collection model based on the first version of this model: The Seagull S6 Collection 1982.
The Collection 1982 is an exact replica of the original from the 1980s, but combines all the best features of the Seagull guitars that have been developed over a long period of time in one instrument at an astonishingly low price.
To this day, Seagull remains committed to the basic principle of selecting the best available components for the models and yet still keeping them affordable for everyone. The S6 Collection 1982 not only impresses with its price, but above all with its strong character!
The model offers the original retro S6 features, such as the shorter scale length (63.1 cm). Like all Seagull guitars, the S6 Collection 1982 is made entirely in Canada from sustainably sourced wood. Just like the contemporary S6, it has a pressure-tested solid cedar top with wild cherry back and sides and delivers superior sound, projection and response.
The Seagull S6 Collection 1982 has a very distinctive sound that is bright, rich, warm and balanced, not least because of the special sealing of the top that allows the instrument to vibrate naturally.
Of course, the most important aesthetic elements of the 80s original were also retained, such as the retro 80s headstock and the then-current Seagull logo.
